Hi, I’m Chris! Throughout my entire life, mechanical devices and systems have fascinated me, and as such, I became a mechanical engineer.
Our work here at Root has allowed me to turn my math and physics skills into my dream position as a design engineer that also gets to produce and test the product.
In terms of business, I function as Root’s CEO. My goal in this position is to ensure that our team operates in an environment that maximizes openness and creativity while continuing to hold ourselves and our products to the highest of standards. Externally, my job is to be prepared to portray precisely the shared, underlying values of everyone at Root Solutions in the event that the company needs single-person representation.
My time working with Evan and Joe to create Root has been an incredible experience, and I couldn’t ask to be working with a better team. To everyone reading this, I truly appreciate the time seconds you took to read this, and I’m excited to make dope-ass shit happen with all of you.
Hey, my name is Joe! Some people refer to me as a code hermit, but due to the mythic nature of my work, I prefer that people think of me as a sage. I studied computer science at WashU in St. Louis with a focus in algorithms, computer architecture, and design.
I have been known for spending my beloved sleeping hours researching some new technology, algorithm, or process in favor of actually getting some shut-eye. When computing power isn’t on the menu, becoming a financier I the norm for me.
My studies at WashU have also earned me a second major in Finance. I enjoy exploring the effects in business with reference to new technologies. My goal in this field is to revolutionize the way we look at and handle money on a day-to-day basis.
At /root/solutions I cover everything from developing and integrating new services and technologies into our applications to reducing the costs for production in order to get a more robust and more affordable product to the consumer.
Hi, I'm Evan. Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by the intersection of art and science.
To quench my curiosity, I am studying biomedical engineering with a minor in communication design, and expect to graduate in 2017. My studies in engineering and design have given me a deep appreciation for both function and form, and how to integrate the two.
Here at Root, my job is to visualize our ideas and their outward-facing components. Working with Chirs and Joe has allowed me to visualize and create my ideas and dreams, both figuratively and literally. Thanks for reading about my life, I look forward to working together.
